yakitori -- japanese street food
Yakitori is grilled skewered bite-size chicken thigh glazed with Yakitori sauce; a light sauce made with soy sauce, rice wine, honey, fresh ginger, garlic, and special spices. We serve your Yakitori fresh off the grill over a bed of sticky rice sprinkled with fresh green onions and drizzled with soy sauce. Many of our customers add a Grilled Pineapple Kabob with their Yakitori; so sweet and savory!
The Yakitori sauce used by Grill & Ladle is kosher and gluten-free.

why yakitori? In the early 1990's Tom was a Navy corpsman stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Among his favorite memories was the after-bar visits to the street vendors selling Yakitori on every street corner. Back in the United States he searched for the perfect Yakitori sauce and he finally found it, made out East by a man who had the same memory of his time in Japan. No kidding! With the Yakitori sauce secured, Tom launched Grill & Ladle in 2013.
